Our St. Francis of Assisi adult choir, under the directorship of Lynne Cibulsky and Tim Callicrate, consists of 8-24 musicians, including vocalists, pianists, guitar and flute. Our music repertoire ranges from standard hymnody to contemporary, including gospel, jazz, modern, and Taize. Although some musicianship is preferred, and auditions are made for vocal section placement, our primary ministry is to enhance the liturgy with our love of music and impart that love through sung prayer. The choir rehearses on Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 6 p.m. most weeks. (Please call ahead for confirmation of rehearsal time.) Our choir alternates between singing at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses on Sundays, with warm-ups one-half hour prior to the beginning of Mass. Please contact Lynne Cibulsky at (775) 831-0490 for more information.
Please note: all Music Ministry members must participate in and remain current in our Diocesan “Protecting God’s Children” awareness sessions.
