We need your input if you are planning to walk this year. Please provide which Camino route you are walking, planned departure date if known (or month) and the name of any non-chapter members that will accompany you. Thanks.
Schedule of Events. We will gather in the multi-purpose room in the church basement at 11:00 AM to set up the potluck buffet. Please bring an appetizer, entree, salad, or dessert to share. Wine and water will be provided.
At approximately 11:20 AM we will proceed to the Church where Fr. Jorge will celebrate a special Pilgrim Mass at 11:30 AM. At the conclusion of the Mass, Fr. Jorge will bless the scallop shells and all pilgrims embarking on their Camino in 2024. Each pilgrim will receive a shell to carry with them on their pilgrimage. The Scallop shell, dangling from backpacks, is the treasured emblem for all pilgrims on the Camino.
After the shell ceremony concludes, we will move downstairs for our celebration potluck luncheon. There will be time for discussion, storytelling, and Q&A on all things Camino.
There will be a trading post set up for anything Camino that you no longer need and would like to pass along. This includes items such as books, hiking gear, or anything that helped you along The Way.
Registration. Advance registration is required for this event. Please click the Register button below. Thank you.

The Lake Tahoe Chapter of American Pilgrims covers the area surrounding Lake Tahoe, Nevada and California, including Incline Village, Carson City and Reno.
Broadly stated, the purpose of this local chapter is to keep members connected to the Camino and to introduce new people to the phenomenon. We plan to accomplish this in a number of ways, such as social events, hikes, mentoring future pilgrims and serving as a local host for hospitalero training through American Pilgrims.
Contact Chapter coordinators David Jennings, Frank Coughlin, Barbara R. Guerin and Kappy Mann at [email protected] for more information or to be added to the chapter email list.
The chapter schedules walks, talks, potlucks and much more!
To see what we’re doing, please visit the Local Chapter Events Calendar and select our chapter name in the "All Events Category" pull-down menu. This will filter to display only our chapter's events.
