As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, Abby Johnson believed in a woman's right to choose, until a life-changing experience turns her into an anti-abortion activist. Incredibly powerful, Unplanned, stars Ashley Bratcher (War Room) as Abby Johnson and is the true story of, a Planned Parenthood clinic director who became pro-life. The film follows Abby as she joins Planned Parenthood as a volunteer in college to help women in crises and works her way up to counselor and eventually director, but when she is called on to assist in an abortion everything changes. Ashley Bratcher does an excellent job at showing the emotional journey that Abby went through. Extraordinarily compelling, Unplanned takes the audience to the frontlines of the battle over abortion. Unplanned is the first R-rated film to be distributed by Pure Flix Entertainment and is one of the very few R-rated faith-based films to ever get anything resembling a wide release, theatrically. Faith-based audiences don't, at least historically, show up in droves for R-rated cinema but Unplanned has been the exception.
